Hello,
I want to run Sim City 5, but I'm not exactly sure if my system is powerful enough. I don't need it to be on high settings, minimum settings is perfectly fine. Just a good frame rate; nice and smooth. I have a HP slimline s3321p, but I made some upgrades.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.6 GHz Dual Core

4 GB DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM

Currently, nVidia GeForce 6150SE graphics, but

I know that this won't support, so I'm thinking of upgrading to a ATI Radeon HD 5450. I'm thinking of this one ASUS 512MB Radeon HD 5450 (http://www.amazon.com/EAH5450-SL-DI-512MD3-MG/dp/B00612YORQ/ref=pd_sim_e_3).

Also, would that 5450 be good for my system? I'm limited to a 160w psu, but I've read in many posts that the 5450 is the best to upgrade without upgrading the power supply.

Thanks!

Just games like Sim City 5. And other games such as AOE, or SC4.

Definitely not Crysis 3. I know my computer WOULD melt with that. Not any high-end games like that.

It seems that the 1GB version of the 5450 would run Sim City 5.

Would the 512MB version also run it?

Sim City isn't a demanding game. I would start with a power supply upgrade. Probably a 500W would be 10 times more than enough. Then I would upgrade my Graphics card. And actually if you upgraded your graphics card then you would be able to run Crysis 3 on Low. Your processor and Ram is fine for Sim City 5.
