quick question about overclocking....

Okay i read tons of information about it and feel i have a good idea how to do it. My cpu stays cool and i have the benchmarks and programs to do the test to start overclocking my socket 754 athlon 3000. so basically now i just start increasing the front side bus and go from there right. and adjusting my memory.

You mean you have to keep it open all the time. My cpu stays cool. right now it's idling at 28 degrees.
