I just wander if the Celeron at 3.6Ghz can even match the Dothan at 1.5Ghz, Theoretically the Celeron should get r@ped totally, but i should look at some benchies first.

That Dothan should spank it...

Yep, cheap but good.

I have one too and have OC to 3019 stable with standard Vcore. Have'nt gone any higher as have no need to at present.

MB is Asus P4S800-MX (still available new), good board with excellent AWARD BIOS that has just about every option available except Vcore adjustment. Why they left it out is stupid and I don't think they are going to include it in the new BIOS upgrades.

Before OC Vcore was 1.365 (default 1.3V to 1.4V). When OC to 3019MHZ, Vcore 1.278V which is still OK, but if I OC higher will probably drop more so Vcore adjustment is advisable.

Are there any programs available that will allow Vcore adjustment out side of the BIOS?

Im getting one of those celeron D 2.4's soon - how good is the stock cooler - is it similar to the newer P4 prescott coolers? how hot does it run at that speed with the better cooler? How does that speed compare with a C class P4?

The stock cooler removes the heat well enough, but I found it a little too loud for my taste. Mine would run at 4ghz with the stock cooler without any trouble, with temps about 10C above what you see in the pic above.

Note that the voltage reported buy CPU-Z is incorrect, but Asus Probe does report the correct volatge (1.375v).

Also note the temps and fan speeds. :)

Wow, those Celeron Js clock very nicely! Also nice temps on that chip. My old Celeron D S478 got pretty toasty even with a XP-90...
