i'm planning to buy zalman vf700 cu cooler. can someone please tell me whether this cooler is compatible with asus card? (like, HSI heatsink integrated into stock cooler for this asus card? will i be able to put ram heatsink with the zalman cooler?)

The Zalman heatsink will fit, but I highly recommend AGAINST it! because the heatsink will be tilted, and may eventually cause dammage to the PCB.

hmmm ... if that's true, then it's better to look for another cooler ... Do you know any good cooler that will be compatible with geforce6600GT agp? Not many coolers are compatible with this type of card.

The Vantec Iceberq 5 is due to come out later this month and should fit it. There is a variant of this cooler produced by JetArt that is already on the market.

Do you have money for watercooling? If you do, any waterblock designed for Nvidia is compatible with the card. ex. Swiftech MCW50, Dangerden Maze 4GPU.

I also have an asus 6600gt and have just fitted a vf700-cu due to the stock fan making constant annoying noises. The top fins sit about 3-4 cm over the top of the card and the supplied ramsinks don't fit but other then that I had no problems.

With the stock h/s at 600mhz my temps were around 44 idle 77 load. The vf700 made a huge difference with the core clocked at 620 I now get 31 idle and 45 load. I haven't tried going past 620 yet but should hopefully be able to push it even further. Most importantly it is also nice and quiet unlike the asus one.

If you do plan on using that cooler, I would be extra carefull when moving the PC.
