Hello,
So lately I have been trying to play the sims 3 and its completely shuts off my entire laptop after like 10 minutes of playing.
I have no idea what the problem is... Can somebody please help me?

I will definitely try that. But my dad was thinking maybe I need a graphic card? I'm not really sure.

I don't know what temperatures to look for so I'll just tell you all of them:

THRM -58 (136 F) 55 (130 F) 72 (161 F)

CORE #0 - 52 (125 F) 51 (123 F) 71 (159 F)
CORE #2 - 50 (121 F) 47 (116 F) 71 (159 F)

ASSEMBLY - 42 (107 F) 36 (96 F) 42 (107 F)
AIR FLOW - 42 (107 F) 36 (96 F) 42 (107F)

That was when I was playing. All those temperatures were from me playing the sims for 5 minutes
like you said for me to do.

Is there anything I can do to play without it shutting down completely?

If it was while playing, doesn't seem like a temperature issue. Are you playing with the laptop plugged in to the wall?

Also, let's try one more test. Could you download Prime95 and Furmark, and run their blend test (prime95) and burn-in test (furmark) at the same time? Watch the temperatures all the time in HWMonitor, you're interested in core temperature and graphics card temperature (if there is one, you never told me what kind of a laptop you have). If you cannot find graphics card temperature in HWMonitor, Furmark has a nice graph of it.
