My brother is going to oc a a64 3000 on a dfi lanparty nf4ultra board but before he does he wanted to know if clockgen will let him change the multiplier and how far so he can buy memory for what he wants to do

LoL it seems you aren't familiar with A64, Crucial Ballistics seems to perform better than Samsung TCCD chips on Athlon64, and lowering HT multiplier doesn't affect performance at all.

And difference is the revision? I'm not sure since that's not entire label, and since the OCZ EB came out before Ballistics ram, it seems logical for crucial to use newer revision of the chip. And I've read it over at Anand a while ago, that they were the same.

Samsung for a brief period of like a week sold TCCD chips as generic with heatspreaders, so they were cheap as hell(40CDN per 512mb stick), and overclocked insanely, i only got 2 sticks of 512mb, both reached 267mhz with 2.85Vdimm, but I'm sure it'll go higher with more voltage. They realized their mistake pretty quick, and soon they were back to their original.
