Got a p4 2.8 LGA 775 on a 8i915P DUO Board, Running DDR400. I managed to get the CPU to run at 3.2 Ghz CPU by pushing the FSB up to 230(460). Memory is running at 185 and the timing setting is at 2.5-5-5-15. All the voltages are standard. System seems to be stable and its running at 40 degrees C on idle and 45 degrees C on load.
You guys think its going to stay stable? Any setting i should change?
Update: I flashed the bios and was able to set the memory to run on a 1:1 ratio with the FSB. So now the mormory is running at 460 mhz as well. For sumsung DDR400 it should hold. Felt the temps by hand and the memory is a bit warmish to the touch but its ok, the northbridge running at 923mhz is hot, like really hot. Im going to see if i can slot on a fan cos its still passively cooled. Will keep you guys up to date. Im hoping to push the system to 3.4 maybe even 3.6. If i have to change to DDR2 to do it then i must.
This CPU will run at 4Ghz if you have it cooled properly. The NB should be cooled just like the CPU because it will get just about as hot. This will cause instability. You can buy a cheap fan that is made for a notebook CPU and attach it to the NB. If you do, get one for the SB also.

Crucial Ballistix DDR2 667@DDR2 855
Got the system stable at 3.29ghz, mem running at a 1:1 ratio at 470mhz and the motherboards north bridge is now activly cooled and is running at 940mhz. Been stressing it all night and it hasnt failed or anything and the CPU temp never rises above 45c. Im happy with it and now off to overclock the GPU :-)
