case fan

i have a gateway510 2.8GHz 1MB ram 350w power supply
i wanted to replace my case fan to some thing better.so i called gateway to seee if they can tell me what size it is so i can get the rite size? they couldnt tell me because this pc didnt come with 1. duh but theres one in it. this pc is 7 month old. i can never get a straight answer from them lol.i measured the out side of the fan an its between
3 1/2 an 3 5/8.an it has 3 wires. can anybody tell what i should ask for when i buy one. whats a good fan? i would like one with a high air flow but not to loud. thanks for any help

That must be an 80mm fan. Just make sure the one you get has a 3-wire connector. Many do, but some come with molex (hard drive) connectors.

I understand Panaflow is supposed to be the best (nice and quiet, good airflow, good price), but I have no experience with them personally.
