I have mySQL behind a NAT firewall
To get access I must grant to user@192.168.1.1 which is the routers address
Is the true external host information lost?
Does mySQL think htat All traffic is coming from 192.168.1.1 ???

That really depends on your NAT firewall. Not all firewalls does client
transparency by default...
