I recently purchased a 710x model complete with a serial ATA hard drive
which, according to Intel, should be placed in 'Legacy" mode prior to
installing Linux. However, whenever I do so the system will not boot into
WinXP - it provided a message saying to insert a bootable media and the hard
drive is no longer visible in the BIOS.

Has anyone tried this with success and can you point me in some direction
with information regarding SATA hardware under these circumstances?
