DirectX 9 in Windows 7

Hello,my c# application works with directX9 on WinXP. i ve installed directx9 on windows7 and try to run it. but it give me the error "vshost.exe has stopped working". what could be the problem? how to uninstall directx9 as it is not shown in the installed program list. thanks in advance for ur help.

Windows 7 is preinstalled with DX11 which covers DX9/10 preinstallation also.

To check installation click Start, then in Search type in RUN, open RUN and type in dxdiag and hit enter.

Download and run latest full 9c redistributable, even though W7 should handle all DX9 software, you will see that the redistributable does update a fair few files.

i have the same problem i run direct x to install the sims 3 then the direct x installing its say's directx9 .exe has been stopped responding pls help
