Refurbed 6800, crap?

Is there a very good chance of them being unlocked? i mean it seems like the cards go in cycles, someone buys (no more on newegg) sticks it in comp trys to unlock, no go (PIECE OF S**T your goin back to newegg). Do you think i should spend the extra money and just buy a new 6800? problem is i can barley afford the refurbed 6800. If you have any suggestions on other budget minded cards thatd be very helpfull(i need one that will last for a year or 2). price range is 0.00-160.00. Thank You

I see, hmmmm...guess its either 6800 or 6600gt now, can the 6800 clock high enough to beat the 6600gt by a reasonable amount? im on a budget of 240.00 dollers though, have to get ram, harddrive, and gfx card for it. I could wait for prices to drop when the 7600's and whatnot come out though, just wanna play some damn half-life 2 before i die.

lol by a most of 3 frames per second. Even when the 256bit bus counts it beats it over high AA/AF high res settings by like 6-8 fps. I think im just trying to talk myself into getting the 6800 yet im doing it the wrong way by putting down the thing i want.....will we ever know the ways of our brains? Thank You

My 6800 unlocked just fine! I'd be less confident when buying one now as to wether I could unlock the pipes.

I do like ATI better but 1.not as future proof as the 6800 2.very few agp x800's/x700's 3.usually around 250.00 new, so your saying the LE's chips wont change?
