I have a Antec P160 case with 54 CFM 120 mm Intake fan and a 120 mm Exhaust fan (CFM not known) and an AGP eVGA Geforce 6800GT graphics card.

The problem is that the GC is so long it forms a barrier. In the lower half of the case I have the heat generated by 2 raptors, a 7200 RPM SATA drive and my GC. The upper half case has the CPU, power supply, 2 CD-RWs and the floppy drive.

I think I would get better cooling if I vented air from the lower half of the case. The two solutions I know of are the <A HREF="http://www.xoxide.com/arctic-cooling-nv-silencer-5-revision-2.html" target="_new">NV Silencer5 Rev 2</A> on my GC or a <A HREF="http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=370034" target="_new">Antec Super Cyclone Blower Dual Expansion Slot Cooler</A>.

Based on reviews it seems that the Silencer is the more effective cooling solution. But it looks like the fan extends beyond the end of the card. It looks like my card will not fit in my case with the Silencer installed.

Silencer Pros:
1. Cools better
2. Less noise

Cons:
1. More expensive
2. Might not fit in case
3. More difficult install

Antec Super Cyclone Blower Dual Expansion Slot Cooler Pros:
1. Cheaper
2. Easier Install
3. Will Fit in Case

Cons:
1. Poorer cooling
2. Noisier
3. Not available for purchase as far as I can tell

While playing UT2K4 my GC temps range from 76 Deg. C to 80 Deg. C. The case temperature is around 44 Deg. C, CPU temp is around 55 deg. C and the ambient temp is 26.5 Deg C.

My primary concern is keep my GC cool. I'm only interested an air-cooling solution. I'm not OCing my card.

What is the best way to cool my GC?

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Thanks
