  1. Did you try reinstalling ?
Normally, even if you changed ip it shouldn't cause any problem.
  2. yes didnt work.
  3. After looking into this a bit I found that the solution below worked for quite a few people.

    Start > run > type "cmd" > hit "ok" > type "ipconfig/renew"

It should now reset all connections.

    I hope this helps!

  5. If you have a dynamic IP address, it will change each time you restart the computer. So first, just try restarting, and see if that resolves the issue.

  11. Can you post a screenshot of what yours looks like?

To take a screenshot, press ctrl+prtscrn-->then open paint-->press shift+insert-->save it-->go to imageshack or photobucket, and upload the image-->it'll generate a forum code-->copy and paste that forum code here.
  12. tried that is wouldnt work there is no file action tools only help on mine and the sign in
  13. Do you have the latest messenger ?
  14. I didn't think Messenger cared about your IP address... only if you were connected to the internet or not. What version are you using? Windows Live Messenger 2011? If so, you have to click on "Options" on the main sign-in window, as there is no "Tools" option like in previous versions.

Aford, that is Windows Messenger from Windows XP... something not included with Windows 7. She has to be using some version of Windows Live Messenger.
  15. messenger 2011 windows
