Can you post a screenshot of what yours looks like?

To take a screenshot, press ctrl+prtscrn-->then open paint-->press shift+insert-->save it-->go to imageshack or photobucket, and upload the image-->it'll generate a forum code-->copy and paste that forum code here.

I didn't think Messenger cared about your IP address... only if you were connected to the internet or not. What version are you using? Windows Live Messenger 2011? If so, you have to click on "Options" on the main sign-in window, as there is no "Tools" option like in previous versions.

Aford, that is Windows Messenger from Windows XP... something not included with Windows 7. She has to be using some version of Windows Live Messenger.

Hi.

1- Download MSN Virus cleaner and install it.
2- Close all the MSN applications and check in the task manager for process like "msnmsgr", if still running kill it.
3- Run MSN Virus cleaner
4- Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and delete the file "host.msn" nothing more.
5- Go to C:\users\YOUR USER NAME\Appdata\local\Microsoft and delete de "Windows Live Contacts" folder.
6- Download and install ccleaner, run it and clean all the temp and register files.
7- Reboot the rig and update to the last MSN version

Let me know if that works.
