Dear Fellows,

I am using a Pentium 4 3.2E GHz processor on Asus P4P800E-Deluxe mobo with 2GB Corsair TwinXLPRO 3200 memory. I also have an XFX AGP 8X GeForce 6800 Ultra 256MB GPU with its own factory cooler. I have a Zalman CNPS7700-Cu CPU Cooler as well which runs currently on 2200RPM and Enermax 485W PSU.

I checked the temp with Motherboard monitor 5. It is quite hot and humid in the region I live in.

I would want to know if the temperature in my system is okay or needs improvement.

When the system is idle case temperature remains 33C and CPU around 41/42C. When I use anti-virus engine to scan or play games such as Doom3 and Half Life 2 the temperature reaches 51/52C for the CPU. The temp for 6800 Ultra stays at 51C in idle mode as I can check it from the Graphic properties. While playing games it reaches 61/62C.

I would like to know if these temperatures are okay or they need some improvement.

Please advise.

Thanks and regards,

HIB

Yes they are good. don't worry about it untill they hit around 65 to 70. If you plan on ocing you will need better cooling though.

when the team loses blame it on the noob's I was shot for a plane now my goal it to hunt them down

Thanks. What about the GPU? Should it stay from 51 - 62C. I have in the display properties temperature options to alarm when exceeding certain celsius. How much should I configure? Please advise.

80c Myself I like the gpu cooler than the processor the cooler you can make it the better the rig will run, frames will be faster. In time you can get better cooling to do some ocing.
