I just spent a couple of hours on the phone with 3 people
at Verizon and they couldn't do this for me.
One of the reps didn't even think it's possible for anybody
to get a Verizon's Treo 650 with data usage without getting
an expensive data plan (not the MOU) and even asked me for
Dr. News's phone number (which I didn't have).
They agreed to remove the charges for my data usage last
month because they had never told me that they would start
charging me for connecting to my ISP's local access number
(after having said earlier that there would be no charge).
But they refused to remove my 2-year contract and I still
think I'm being treated unfairly.
So now I'm still on the $15/MB data plan. They said that
I can disable my data service all together but this will
also disable text messaging (which I need to have).
