ASUS P4P800 Deluxe with 300GB HDD

Hi!!!

I have a ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Motherboard.
I have just installed a 300 GB hard disk drive and the system doesn't recognize it.
After updating the BIOS with the lastest BIOS file (version 1019), the problem persists.
Does anybody knows what's the maximum hard disk size for this motherboard? How could I resolve this problem?

Is it a Serial ATA or ATA100/ATA133 drive?
