I have a Earthlink DSL connection using RASPPPOE using a netgear switch. I have a 450mhz P3 running the connection and sharing it to my other computer which is a 1.4 tbird.

I am not currently able to host gaming servers on my 1.4 tbird client computer. I also have to run programs like direct connect in passive mode because i have the connection shared. Is it possible to set it up so I can host games and run Direct Connect in normal mode on my 1.4 client computer?

The connection host must remain on the P3 btw.

Your best solution would be to buy a 5 port switch with a WAN Port. Connect the output of the modem to the WAN port of the switch.
Remove ICS from the P3 system.
Assign all computers a static IP adress for the network card. Now you must forward the necessary ports from the modems built in firewall to the Game host computer. You may also need to forward ports for other computers to be able to access games also.
The following ports are for Gamespy and Direct play games.

6667 (IRC)
3783 (Voice Chat Port)
27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
28900 (Master Server List Request)
29900 (GP Connection Manager)
29901 (GP Search Manager)
13139 (Custom UDP Pings)
6515 (Dplay UDP)
6500 (Query Port)
Free up the following in order to play directplay games:
TCP Client 47624 Outbound, Host 47624 Inbound ,
TCP 2300-2400 Inbound & Outbound,
& UDP Connections: 2300-2400.
Rooms showing on Arcade is port 6500 & 6515. Xbox uses 6700
