I have a Samsung DCS phone system. I have programmed one DDI as a
hotline, forwarding external to a Treo 650 mobile phone (possibly via a
Nokia Premicell). over the Orange network.
The caller phones the hotline. The phone rings. After a period of
time, the mobile phone rings. The caller only hears the phone
continuing to ring. The mobile phone user answers the phone and hears
nothing.
If the hotline forwards to a Nokia phone on the Vodaphone network, it
succeeds. If the hotline forwards to an Erickson phone on the Orange
network, it fails.
If the hotline forwards to other phones on the Orange network, it
succeeds.
I have not been able to access the Premicell to find out how it has
been configured.
As another factor in this, I have programmed the DCS with option 102/5
(Forward Destinations/External), extended to the required mobile number
and activated it. I have also programmed option 502 (No Answer Timer)
and set this to 1 second. The station is part of a group which is
programmed (601) as Normal/Sequential/Overflow 30/Group Transfer
10/Next Port 500.
It still takes ages for the call to forward. Any ideas?
