I'm getting incomplete graphics, tried using v1.1 patch but that didn't help. See below: (screenshot resized to 1/2 of original)

The streets are ever so weird! This only happens when I turn off the Frame Limiter. If I leave the frame limiter turned on, the image is aok. I'd like to leave the FL turned off but hate it when the game doesn't cooperate. Any ideas why this is happening? Specs are as follows:

- AMD Athlon XP 2700+ (T-Bred B, Stock)
- MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR
- ATi Radeon 9700 Pro (Stock/Catalyst 3.8 )
- 2x WD Raptor RAID 0
- Win XP SP1a/DX9.0a (should I try getting DX9.0b?)

Do you suffer from performance issue when you just leave the FL on ? By this, I mean does leaving the FL on affect gameplay and enjoyment in any way.

If it doesn't why not just leave it on since you said it was Ok. Can it be that your system is just too fast for proper frame synchronization ? maybe... just a BIG guess.

There aren't any performance issues when leaving the FL on. The gameplay is a little slower, and I'd enjoy it more if I can leave the FL off. Other than that its fine with FL on.

I'd like to leave it turned off though, the overall movement of the game (walking around, driving, basically moving around) is a lot smoother with the FL off. Using FRAPS I noticed that my FPS doesn't drop below 35 (still playable) and gets as high as 140-160 FPS, averaging about 65-75 FPS, and thats using 1280x1024. I haven't really played around with AA and AF yet. So I'd love it if I can leave the FL off, but can survive playing with it on for now.

It never crossed my mind that my system is just too fast for proper frame sync. I'm getting gitty just thinking it may be too fast. Something I thought never would happen with recent games. Also, I ordered the Radeon 9800 XT recently. Should be arriving very shortly. I'm hoping those image probs will go away, also hoping HL2 doesn't get released before I can activate my voucher so I can get the HL premire pack. Going to be watercooling and overclocking very soon too, damn I hope I can leave the FL off!!
