I have a beige Pentium III "Performance" 866 mhz system purchased in
August 2000. The floppy drive has died and it needs to be replaced. I
wanted a recommendation as to what drive would fit the system properly
and install easily. If possible, I'd like to purchase the drive from
Newegg.

Just about any generic garden-variety floppy will fit. Unless you are miles and
miles from a respectable computer dealer, save yourself some time and money and
buy locally. As another posting stated, these are now $10 items. If you are in
Central Massachusetts, send me email and I'll sell you a new one for $10 cash.
