Hello all... I'm anxiously awaiting GTA: SA for the PC. When I get it
I'm going to play without walkthroughs and so forth (except for maybe
some of the pickup locations if it gets too tedious looking for them).

Are there are any missions that if you do them out of order it makes
100% completion impossible or very difficult?

I'm thinking of things like in GTA3, if you kill Kenji in a Donald Love
mission before completing Kenji's missions you can't get 100%. Or, if
you get the Triads or Mafia mad at you it makes Paramedic borderline
impossible. I did manage to pull off the Turismo race once with the
gangs mad at me by using the Bulletproof Patriot but that wasn't
exactly plan A.

Vice City seemed to be a lot better from this perspective since you can
pretty much do things in whatever order you want. The only real issue I
remember was that if you bought the Hyman Condo before getting 70
hidden packages then those packages would not respawn there, but that
was more of an inconvenience than anything.

So, is there anything specific I should look out for along these lines?
I'm not looking for any huge instructions, just a simple "do X before Y
or you run into big problems"...

Thanks!

I don't think so. I don't go in for 100% but I know what you mean
about the Vice City thing and I recall none in this game... mind you,
from what I have heard about Zero's missions you'll be wishing you
COULD ignore them :O)

Make sure you do the Driving School in San Fierro as soon as available

There's a commonly missed chain of events, and players go off to Las
Venturas, only to wonder later why certain things haven't opened.

Just make sure you complete Driving School.
(opens steal cars strand, which opens Wang's and Export/Import, etc.)

good point. Actually it's the boat and bike school I ignore, I've only
done both once.

I can't think of any blockers at all. The majority of the missions,
especially before you unlock the desert and Las Venturas areas, are all
tightly crammed in together. I imagine this is so you don't lose track
of the storyline easily, the amount of split-plots it has sheesh.

Oh, and if you fail 'Air Raid' you can turn the minigun on Zero....

Cheers,
Rob
