I'm hunting around on E-bay for RDRAM (Rambus) chips for an older
Pentium IV. The chips currently in the computer are labelled 800-45.
I understand 800 is the specification for the bus speed, and that I'll
need a pair of chips for the second slot which match that same (800)
speed.

My question is, does the "45" have any significance? Some of the
chips I see on E-bay are 800-40. Will those work just as well?

Also, the computer currently has 256 Meg of memory. I assume it makes
no difference, compatibility-wise, whether I add 128 Meg or 256 Meg?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

Steve O.
