I just finished installing a secound hard drive ( a slave)
on my system. In my haste I did not set it to slave. Now when I turn
computer on the only thing it does is show the gateway
logo.I tried disconnecting hard drives, resetting slave and master on the
drives and it still does nothing.I try F1 to get into setup, but it will
not let me do anything but look at the logo. I am getting LOCO looking at
the LOGO.If any one can help I would be greatfull thanks

gg: I am still working on the Gateway.I think your right, but
I still have not got it .Have downloaded bios on on Gateway site.It did
not take care of it. Replaced battery it was down to 0.5 volts.Still does
not work.I have done a lot of reading
on the web and I am thinking about hot swaping the bios.
What do you think? Thanks

Do you have an emergency startup disk? If you do, try to boot from the
floppy disk or you can try booting from the cd drive with the windows(?)
disk.
Also, did you unplug and replug both ends of the drive cable? (May have
gone bad with the work you were doing do you have a spare for a replacement
and trial?
