I just installed WinXP RC1 on my pc and attached my printer (HP 710C) and scanner (Scanjet 5100C) through my parallel port.

XP installed the devices properly in the control panel and I can also print as scan

Obviously, I just can scan only with the new digital imaging software, provided with Me, Xp en W2k

After that, my hardware worked properly, I installed my HP Scanjet software, provided with it but these is based on 16-bit. After installing and a reboot, my computer starts rebooting and don't want to stop.

Does anyone has HP scanning software for this scanner, which is 32-bit, otherwise I don't think it will work under XP
