My poor, pathetic Gateway Solo 2500 SE
(laptop purch. 12/1998) has suffered a
cracked monitor and needs salvation.
Do I try to sell her on the open market
or connect her to a desktop monitor.
More specifically, if choosing the
latter option, what exactly is involved
(with this particular model)? E.g,
what adaptor cables are required and
where are the input/output plugs
located?

Just plug your external monitor to the external monitor port on the rear the
unit. That should do it.
