After thinking my situation was fixed (see posts of 7/6 and 7/11), I
again got the "Invalid Roaming Liat" with loss of service. After
having the firmware/software reloaded on July 7th, my 5185i phone
again worked but it now displayed "Roaming" in areas which earlier
showed that I was on the Verizon network. In addition, on a trip from
New Jersey to Cleveland last week, it displayed "No service" in many
areas which had service on earlier trips.

The phone failed again this past Saturday. I was on I495 in Mass.
headed back to New Jersey from Manchester, NH, when I dialed 911 to
report an accident. As soon as I completed the call, the "Invalid
Roaming List" displayed and the phone no longer connects. The
following information displays with the *#9999# code:

PRL 50293
V 550SD1a5.net
09/08/2000
NSD-1AW
(c) NMP
PRI: 50493OB2
CSUM: B733
Verizon

Does this info shed any additional light on what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance (again).

Joe K.

Just checking... some phones have to manually (button presses)
be taken out of "911 mode" after getting into it. Yours is not
one of them is it?

Most phones need to be turned off and then back on. I've seen this
with LG and Motorola phones.

I suspect the memory in your phone is faulty.
Either get it repaired or buy a new phone.

The time I called 911 on my VX4400, I just had to press End an extra time
to get out of Emergency Mode.
