I've recently been given an old Sony TFT LCD monitor which has
intermittent problems displaying red. It looks like someone tried to
open the case up at some point; the screws are all but stripped out
and therefore the case seems a little loose.
When you press together the case (not touching the screen of course),
the color will display correctly. The correct color usually lasts for
the duration of the session. Then, when the computer/monitor turns
off, the Red problem is usually back on the next boot.
Would securing the loose case fix this problem? If so, what's the best
way to do it with the screws being stripped out? Any other ideas?
