Looking over the crop of reviews, this one does the best summarization job:

Now what's really needed are explorations of things like Linux support
between the two, OpenGL performance looking forward to D3, and
media-encoding/HDTV related topics. I hope sites pay alot of attention to
these topics.

Haha ATI kicks nVidia's ass again.

Any at all, would be an improvement. I'm especially interested in the
quality of their Linux support.

I'm one of those guys who don't really have anything against either
company. I have owned both brands a few times each. I like the
Nvidia drivers better but I like the ATI hardware slightly more.

Here's what I DON'T like about the 6800....takes up two
slots....requires a large power supply and I understand 2 power
connectors.....plus it RUNS HOT! This tells me Nvidia's new chipset
is already damn near maxed out.
