Hi:

Got a new NOC 17 inch monitor, and after bootup and a few minutes of
operation, the green monitor light on the front panel goes to
yellow/orange and the monitor screen goes blank.Turning the power
button on/off doesn't give me picture. There aren't any power saving
modes on. Rebooted over and over again. For the past 2 days, the
monitor was working fine no problem, until tonight and this morning.

My previous monitor, before it died, I had the same problem and I had
to unplug and replug the monitor's power cord to get it to work.Did
this for a few days then it died so I got the NOC.

I unplugged the NOC and replugged the power cord and it worked.
Why????? Is my new monitor already in danger of dying? Why would
unplugging and replugging the power cord let the monitor stay on? I
have a 4 year old GeForce DDR graphics card. I checked cables, slots
and everything is secure. Is this a common problem with new monitors?
I remember when I first got my previous monitor 4 years ago, the power
saver mode would turn off the monitor, but it would not turn it back
on unless I rebooted the entire system, so I never put the power saver
mode on ever again.

Thanks
