First XBox SA Glitch

Archived from groups: alt.games.grand-theft-auto (More info?)

I had 3 street racers parked in the garage at the gas station in SF. Went
back for one recently and they had all turned white. Anyone ever have this
happen on the PS2?

Still no magnets on the cargobobs after the mission it's used on; doesn't
look like there's a cargobob kept at the abandoned airfield either.

Doesn't look like the basketball glitch was fixed; though I don't know why
anyone would want to play basketball in the first place.

it is a glitch which did occur on the ps2, yes.

You get the cargobob at the airfield after you've done those casino
    missions, i think

Not exactly. I've never had a car change colors, but dozens of cars have
    disappeared completely from my garages!

yeah, that stinks. You pick up a few for export, knowing they're rare,
then when it comes to sale time the damned things have gone!

That's why I just don't bother trying to save cars for export. It's kind of
a silly idea to me... I just take them over when I find them. I need to
finish that... I've got about 18 of them. :-P

I used to be pretty religious about it, with the amount of cash you
get etc, but now I just leave it be until I'm a bit fed up. I don't
even bother with the driving school too early either. Funny how your
game mutates this way as you play it more and more

I pretty much do everything I need to do as soon as I discover it. I
completely finish an area's missions before going on to the next area, or
else I'll forget to complete them. I finished all the schools in a single
afternoon (that is, one afternoon for each one, whenever I discovered
them -- not all in the same afternoon!). As for cash... after a while, I
ended up having enough from other stuff that I don't need to bother with the
cars. But it's still fun to get a nice little cash perk when I want to spend
    some extra cheese.

How many times have you done Zero? I have never got past the first
mission, not once!. I also only did the bike and boat schools once out
of hundreds of games, and the casino job doesn't do enough for me to
make me want to run through that every time..

Yep, the machine seems to get confused. It *still* does that?

It only seems to happen with cars that were customised at Wheel Arch
Angels though; my Loco Low Co and TransFender cars remain pristine.
Only remedy for it is a respray IIRC.

I've had instances where the Hunter you get for all golds in the pilot
school disappears after you unlock the Cargobob. Still not sure why.

Same here, I think that's one act of "virtual realism" that definitely
    fell on it's arse.

I bet you both my eyebrows you were trying to cram too many cars in.

    If you use the run-away-from-car-so-the-door-remains-open-and-the-game
-keeps-it-in-memory trick they don't seem to disappear - although some
    other cars often do.

Funnily enough, I did the return to LS missions before the last two
casino missions (Darn keycard mutter mutter mutter).

In the ps2 san andreas I found a basketball right next to Sweet's

Nope. Just one car. Johnson residence. I always dragged a sports car down to
Grove Street for a quick escape next time I needed one, and several times it
    just disappeared.

I just learned that saving cars in the garages was no longer important, and
to focus more on the rest of the game... which is fine with me, since I
never like driving the cars in my garages anyway. I mean, why store them if
I'm not going to drive them?!

Yeah, I never had a problem finding any basketballs. I did experience the

They used to say it was something to do with beating on people or
