When I refresh a community page sometimes I get the 'Cannot Find Server' page.
I was wondering if anyone else has been getting that message? I hope it's not my IP.
I have similar problems. I don't get the 'Cannot Find Server' pg - but of all the tech sites I visit - THG is the slowest loading. Often, access to a forum takes 5 secs or more to connect - and I have cable. It's worse than trying to load some obscure porn site with dial up at the library ... or so I've been told.
I think it's THGC web site - as all the rest are instant.

The forums here get slow but it's been very good lately.
Fredi does his best to get everything working as smooth as possible.
I think the problem was on my end. Probably my ISP working on their equipment.
The problems seem to have disappeared.
Today was the first time in a really long time (years) that I was getting 'cannot find server' errors.
I find WinXP to be super ultra stable. Program crashes are rare.
hmmm..i shud have been more specific. i think its got to do something with my IE6 settings in XP. most of the time when click on Reply to Post or some other link, it gives me the Cannot Find Server Error.
As for as stability, i like XP best when i am overclocking. With 98se if i went one FSB too high, the registry checker wud kick in and restore to the settings i had when i had installed 98se.
I get it sometimes, usually when I'm posting or jumping between boards. Like you say, just click "Back" and try again, everything's OK.

wow, so many ppl have similar probs....all these days i thot it was something i had wrongly configured in IE6 that was causing the problem. anyways, its happy to know that i am not alone.
You can never leave now. You are destined to stay here forever. You will be our plaything.
