Hello everybody,

If I want to turn on my monitor ( CTX PR711F ) the screen remains
black, I hear no "click" from the tube (as usual) but the power led
works and I can't turn it on or off again. Familiar to anyone? Any
help will be greatly appreciated.

From the moment that it didn't turn on, I also had to do some swapping
of video cards to get my computer to work with another monitor - that
works fine now with the same card, so the video card is not the
problem.

I called for servicing - costs for shipping and looking are as great
as a new monitor! According to them it sounds like a power-supply
problem. I am already disassembling (i.e. fuses stuff like that) but
can't find anything. Schemes/ knowledge anyone? This old monitor is
giving me a headache ;-) Tnx in advance.

Ralph
