i saved the stuff that i downloaded from the sims 2 exchange to my downloads folder and the stuff isnt in my game

There must be somewhere in the game's settings to tell it where you stored the downloads. You'll normally get better advice on this sort of subject in the Games section of Tom's Hardware Forums or one of The Sims own message boards.

Hi , that used to happen to me all the time , until I started downloading my downloads in a separate folder example {zipfiles or download files} then later go back and extracting the files then copy them to the game folder/file . I personally found that worked for me. now i did get allot of help form the internet websites but only 2 come to mind [sims wiki and ehow.com and reading bits n pieces on gaming site like on here.
