All LCD monitors are planar. Do you mean Planon (a type of backlight
used in some LCDs)?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the OP probably meant
Planar (the company at http://www.planar.com/). :-) Depending on your
needs, the PX191 may be worth checking out, but I don't have any
personal experience with it. If other 19" LCDs are of interest, I
recently read that Anandtech gave the Dell UltraSharp 1905FP a good
review (http://anandtech.com/displays/showdoc.aspx?i=2332).

Thanks,

-Kaare

My company has a few 23.1 inch and 20 inch planar LCDs. No problems and no
dead pixels.

The 20 inch ones do, but not the 23.1s However, they did throw in a
3-piece speaker set for free. These are the biggest non 16:9 monitors I
could find at the time that did 1600x1200. They are very nice, prices have
dropped several hundred dollars recently. model number is ws231, i
believe.
