Anyone who has this phone?

How about National Access with data cable to laptop? Is it supported?

Sound quality? Hands free use (with headset) - is it convenient? I have a
LG VX4500 which is a little over 1 year old. The screen blanks out
sometimes
after receiving a call. I have to reboot it to get the screen display
properly again.
Both the outside and main screen! "Hands free" with headset in the VX4500
is not really hands free. You have to reach and flip open the folder to
receive
a call while on "hands free" with headset.

Thanks in advance for any review on this phone.

I have the phone for few days but I like the phone. Officially there is
no USB driver for the phone but you can find some on the internet. For
me it worked and actually, since Im in EVDO area it worked with EVDO
speed.
Please note that some bluetooth functions are disabled in the phone
(like accessing internet through bluetooth). Let me strees it that they
are disabled by Verizon not because of hardware limitation. You can
fairly easily anable those options.
After few tweaks to your E815 you can have National Access through
bluetooth :)

I've had the phone for about 1.5 weeks now. Rather than go through a
thorough review here though, I suggest you look at this link:

http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/u [...] ?phone=663

I find it to be an excellent phone all around, the only complaints I
have are the weak vibrate mode and a bit of a tinny sound when at max
volume in speakerphone mode.

Personally, I don't think you're going to find a better phone right
now, at least not for VZW.

And yes, you can answer calls (and place them, using voice dial) from a
headset with the flip closed, provided the headset has an "answer"
button on it. I'm not sure if there's a way to do it using the buttons
on the phone if you don't have this button on your headset.

Thanks to all who have replied ( or who will reply) to this post.

I have gone to phonescoops.com and read some of the
positive reviews of the E815.

My eyes got tired of reading all the reiviews from phonescoop.com
but there was none in particular which discusses the posibility of
using the phone to connect a laptop, with a data cable, to
connect to the internet. I currently have a VX4500 which
I use to vpn to our office LAN. I wish to do the same
with the E815.

Search the Phonescoop forums for "DUN" or "dialup". I don't need this
feature myself so I haven't looked into it, but I have seen other
people discussing it.

I'm quite certain you can do it, but I am not sure if there is some
trick to how it is billed.

One thing I do know is that DUN is disabled on the phone by default,
but you can enable it by pressing "##DIALUP" from the main screen.

If you find the answers to your questions, please do post them back to
this thread to help other readers (including myself, who may need DUN
in the future ;) ).
