I have a Gateway E-3400 with 700mhz chip. I'll be connecting a
Samsung LCD monitor using a DVI connection. I ordered an Apollo
5200 video card with DVI. It requires an AGP 2.0 slot. The E-3400
User Manual says the AGP slot is on the motherboard. I've located it
on the motherboard, but it's several inches in from the back panel. There
is a 2" x 3" removeable metal piece on the back panel in line with the
AGP slot. Can I assume that I remove this knockout piece and just route
the video cable through the opening and connect it to the video card?

Also, the PC has a 145 W power supply. Should this be adequate for
the card? I noticed that some video cards (although not this one) require
a 250W power supply.

Thanks!
Scott
