Am having some trouble scanning some documents. For some reason some documents I scan in come out a little bit crooked while others scan perfect. I have no idea why this is.....is something like this common with scanners? And no the actual documents are not crooked :)

Am using a Cannon N650U. Are these know to have problems? Any info from the scanmasters would be appreciated :)

If you scan and rescan the same thing without moving the item, is it consistently crooked?

Yes. Although sometimes after a rescan it seems to be either a little less or a little more crooked. Could be imagining things though.

Dont know much about your model, mine runs on a scsi card.USB ports are slower than scsi, sometimes changing USB ports can help. Try using the first USB port and check Bios for USB support.

I had used a cable longer than 5 feet and that can cause problems, see <A HREF="http://consumer.usa.canon.com/scanners/csn650u/index.html" target="_new">Cannon web site</A> under specifications.

Look for udated <A HREF="http://209.85.7.18/techsupport.php?q=download&p=csn650u" target="_new"> Cannon Drivers </A> .
If that doesnt work try re-installing the software as a last resort before calling for help at Cannon.

Also the documents etc to be scanned have to be perfectly flat on the screen as a turned up edge like in the centre of a book can be distorted as its further away from the surface..

Good luck...

Crank it up... way up!! I need that power.
