Torino has sent me to buy the landing strip for a dollar and to kill
anyone who objects. I get there but I can't find anyone to kill.

I've found the landing strip, I can buy it for 80k but no sign of life.

Don't spell it out for me but a subtle tip would be nice.

same as any other purchase, then look for a red marker for the school.
BTW, when you buy there's a save point inside the shed with the yellow
marker outside.

But Toreno said I could get it for 1 dollar if I threaten to kill people but
I couldn't find anyone to kill either. I had about 4 million so 80K didn't
matter but I wonder if someone got it at a better deal.

Yeah, sorry but it really does cost 80k. i read an article about the
lie a while back, but apart from telling you it was a lie it didn't
give any explanation. Maybe this is the gag about getting it for a
dollar, in the full knowledge that there's nobody down there.

Have you done the import export? If you even start it and sell just a
couple of cars, or even one, you will probably have enough cash

Okay, have you done the missions at your garage in San Fiero? The ones
which involve collection of three or four cars? They become available
after driving school. Import export, and wang motors both become
available during those missions, as well as another car customiser
which deals with some of the racier cars and makes them looks much
meaner than in normal custom shops.. but not many cars are allowed in
there. Wang motors costs about $50,000 and I can't recall if you HAVE
to buy it before you do the import exports. Anyway. When the
particular mission is complete it tells you the import export is now
open.

the four missions are
zeroing in
test drive
customs fast track
puncture wounds

and it is during customs fast track that you are shown where and how
to do the import exports. It is based on the big ship down the docks.
There is a list of wanted vehicles on a board, you collect them and
put them on the ship, with a crane or by driving them up a ramp. You
can make a hell of a lot of money doing this job. Here's a list of
vehicles they want. I usually print it out and tick them off when I
find them. The most unusual, I think, is the euros in list 3. I've
only ever seen it when I am looking for it for import export. You'll
also be bale to buy vehicles off them and there are a couple of
unusual ones there too. Sorry if that was a bit long winded, I had to
really search for the info.

List 1
Patriot
Sanchez
Stretch
Feltzer
Remington
Buffalo
Sentinel
Infernus
Camper
Admiral

List 2
Slamvan
Blista Compact
Stafford
Sabre
FCR-900
Cheetah
Rancher
Stallion
Tanker
Comet

List 3
Blade
Freeway
Mesa -
ZR-350
Euros -
Banshee
Super GT
Journey
Huntley
BF Injection

oh, I haven't done the driving tests yet. I can't get past the first one so
I ignored it. I guess I'll go back to San Fiero and do those annoying Zero
missions and the driving school

welll, you only have to do zero if you're after 100% but you have to
driving school if you want to do the garage missions and import
export. I didn't like driving school myself, but it does get easier
with use.

I have that. I didn't realize the cars sell for so much.
I got the airfield and I've done the flight school[1]

I've done loads since then, I'm 48% through now, hurrah.

[1] Didn't enjoy it, very frustrating in bits.
