The fan on my PixelView Geforce FX 5600 card is pretty noisy when the
PC first starts. It stops being noisy after a minute or so, but it's
enough to be annoying.

I came across the following site that suggests putting some oil into
the shaft of the fan:

However the fan on my card doesn't seem to have a lubrication well like
the example on the site.

Is there another way I can solve this problem?

You can just spray into it however you want. Another option is to
replace the fan, or get a heatsink+fan package.

Good luck!

Most likely you'll find it under the label on the fan.
