I just recieved a new Gateway 7200xl that I orderred. It comes with a
analoge.digital monitor. The monitor came with an analoge cable but it I
want digital quality, I have to buy my own DVI-D cable. Will I notice a big
difference between analoge and digital if I buy this cable.

Question 2
Is there a way that I can copy the programs from my old computer to my new
one without a new physical reinstall.( I have some programs in which I have
lost the insallation keys so a new install is impossible) I want to just
copy from the old to the new and not erase as this old computer will be used
by my son.

Thanks or any info.

Probably not. The difference between DVI and VGA isn't as pronounced as it
once was.

No. You will need to reinstall the programs on the new system. Almost
nothing can be transferred without installation, unless it's a very simple
app with a very simple (or no) installation required.
