Is it possible to flash the bios of an FX5900XT using an FX5950Ultra bios
like it is with some standard FX5900's?

I'm sure it is - you just have to realize that not all (if any) XT's will
run at 5950U speeds...

My wife's XT runs at 485/900 - not quite 5950U speeds.

OC the XT and flash the 5900 and up. It's not worth the risk.
