Dont know if its me but I found GTA:SA to be the easiest of the 3, I've just
completed the missions were you parachute onto the plane and kill the mob.

Still a fab game though, love it.

I'm only halfway thru (45% complete) and I didn't think it was as difficult
as expected. I'm not like an awesome game player by any means, its just
that I'm used to all the little tricks from VC and GTA3. Not sure how it
compares in difficulty to those as I'm not done yet.

What's the hardest mission after you unlock the final area?

Depends on your platform. I gather that the flying school missions are
almost impossible on the PC, as against just very hard on the PS2.

I have a PS controller for my PC and they were not difficult. Took me a few
tries to land the plane but nothing crazy.

It is a game. It supposed to be fun. However, last week II hit the
flight school and cannot get past the circle and land test. I must
have attempted the test at least 100 times by now.

I am not having fun anymore.

They need to better balance the difficulty level. There should be
some way of opting to wimp out on the most difficult missions. Or,
there should not be game killer missions that are required to complete
the storyline.

Like I said, I am not having fun with this game any longer and I don't
see much replay in the future. There are other games available that
don't generate this much level of frustration.

There's a knack to the flying, or at least much of, in that a gentle
touch often produces better results. Have you tried turning with the
rudder instead of banking all the time?

Yes.

I have actually run the circle, landed without damage, and stopped in
the corona many times. I have been able to generate a score on many
attempts. None of them were good enough for the bronze level. I
guess it was because of time.

Definately the missions which require prper flying skills, I guess.
Also, almost at the end of the storyline, the missions get way (too)
hard, so be prepared :)
I haven't completed the game yet, but I think I'm on the final mission.
Comparing it to VC, it's much more difficult.

Jasper.

Yeah, whenever I failed the helicopter one later it was almost always
time. I forgot to mention, take your wheels up until near landing and
you don't need to keep the throttle on full. sometimes more speed just
makes the things harder to turn, then you lose time getting them back
in line.

I felt the same way doing the flying missions and I almost completely
this mission twice but screwed up... First time my computer froze up
doing the barrel roll and the second time... I forgot to open my
parachute...

The hardest part of the flying mission is doing the circles, circles
and landing and then helicopter and destroying targets... Just keep at
it and you'll pass em...

I found that to be totally the opposite, I managed to pass the flying
school without too many failed attempts in one go whilst my PS2 playing
housemate spent ages on it.
