I downloaded a completed game save at the week-end, and there's a tank
and a VTOL jet parked at Grove Street. What gives these?

Speaking of which, I just opened up the the Desert (havent done the monster
truck mission). So out I go to area 51, but no tank! It should be in the
northernmost hanger right? I haven't used any cheats. What gives?

sometimes you have to do something and it'll spawn. I can't recall
what i did to get it to appear, I think I just ran round the compound
and came back, but I may have jumped outside and back in

100% game completion.

It is possible to get both and park them in another garage wayyyyy
before though.

I'm not sure about that one, but they definitely spawned after the
pilot school but before the Casino heist. Perhaps you need to unlock Las
Venturas in the storyline, I explored LV before doing the pilot school
for horseshoes and oysters without getting a wanted level.

I found out that Las Venturas doesn't officially open until you finish
the 'Learning To Fly' mission cause right after is when Woozie calls
you up and tells you to come on over to the casino... This is also
when Victims clothing stores open...

That was it. I needed to buy the small airstrip! Of course this made
snatching the rhino a breeze (just flip it around and head for the garage!)
