Hi I am just putting together a pc for my son based on an
amd 1800xp,k7s5a motherboard,512mb ram and a maxtor 20 gig hd'i have a
choice of th3 cards kicking about to put in it.
1: Geforce2 mx400 64mb 128bit 200 core 334 mem
2: Geforce2 Ti 64mb 128 bit 250 core 460 mem(bios overclocked to ultra spec)
3: FX5200 128mb 64bit 250 core 400 mem.

It would mainly be used for 1 online mmorpg,thief/thief2 and there fan
missons.Cant really decide which is the better for this purpose,Any input
welcomed.

OT a bit but a 20gb hard disk isn't much, especially if you have a fast
internet connection. The game Far Cry takes over 3gb. A 60 or 80gb drive
would be better.

Of the three, I would choose the 5200 because it's DX9.

the gf2ti - my younger brother has XP1700, 384mb ram and overclocked gf2ti
(to ultra) and he can run Far Cry okay. thief and 2 will cause no trouble
(good games btw) - why dont you try the UT thievery mod ?
