Vrally 3 problem

Hi does anyone know how to solve
the startup problem I have with Vrally 3.
When I start the game I get a small black
screen that dissapears as fast as it appeared.
and I'm back to windows XP desktop again.

I have Intel P4 2,5 gigahz
Geforce 4 ti4200 graphic card (latest drivers,
even with the previous ones it didn't work)
DirectX 9.0b

I've been looking over the net, I found there
were others with the same problems most
of them also with TI4200, but didn't found
a solution for it.

Please help
