In Canada we have a French and English version of Windows 7 (you can choose language, so why?), and the French version costs more...
Why?

$206 Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - OEM
$230 Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit French 1-Pack for System Builders - OEM

$320 Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate English - Retail
$335 Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate French - Retail

That $24 and $15 for OEM and retail, respectively.

I went for the NEWEGG.ca live support, but apparantly it's not working right now... (I know it's off their listed hours, but I always use live support around these hours, being the only time I'm awake at home.)
Guess I have to use slow old email...

lol... i would so love to post something about the French deserve to pay more (UK / France). But Im sure that wouldnt go down well in Canada.

Anyway I would shop around as there are a lot of retailers competeing to shift bucket loads of Windows 7 - I installed mine last night and had a choice of languages - though to be honest I didnt look past the english section.

Are you looking to buy OEM or Retail version ? maybe the retail is different to OEM with more language choices....

I'm not buying the French version, it's just something I noticed and it confused me.
It's the same on NCIX.com

I sent Newegg a email, but no response yet.
I tried Microsoft, and they just gave me a phone number...
