Why is my fps lower after reinstalling windows 7

Hello,
I have a great system 9800GXT+ AMD X2 dual core 6000+ and i had 3 GB RAM. I started having regular crashes so i removed 512mb RAM and win7 said it wasnt genuine anymore, so i re registered it to genuine, in a game i played i was getting 60+ FPS b4 this, afterwards i only get 10fps and its killing me.

Why would you remove RAM? Was it faulty? Did you run memtest on it?

Check to see if there is a graphics driver update.

test RAM with MEMTEST86+ install VGA driver for Win7 , install latest DirextX form www.microsoft.com
