Hi,

I was just chatting with somebody to see what he think of it.

I lead me to look up some info about the TNT2 and the FX 5200.

The TNT2 is 150 MHZ GPU clock speed. ( Info from a non nvidia site )

The FX5200 is 250 MHZ GPU clock speed. So that's only 100 MHZ extra... so it
should be almost twice as fast as my TNT2.

Some articles say that the FX5200 had some little problems.. probably
drivers problem with resulted in a little bit less quality graphics. Is that
true and fixed ? ;) I don't really care that much about this because it
doesn't seem to be that bad.

Though I am starting to wonder if their is a more powerfull card out there
that is also fanless. And preferablly only requires one pci slot.

Bye
Skybuck.

You can get a fanless 9800pro made by Sapphire.

Sapphire makes a 9800 pro that's PCI? When did that happen?

Well seeing those huuuuuuuugge radeon's these fx5200 are starting to look
even better and better and better.

Here is a review comparing radeon 9200 with fx5200.

http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NDkwLDY=

My parents have a radeon 9000... a 9200 is just agp 8x.

I dont like the 9000 it's very a buggy. and it's dx8.1 it seems !

fx5200 is dx9 ! wow ! :)

I have only one concern and that is if it will work with agp 4x... I will
post that somewhere else. ;)

I think it's just two slots of space. I never put anything in the slot
beside the AGP vid card anyway.

No, I think he just means it doesn't take up a PCI slot besides the
AGP slot. But the card I mentioned does take up two slots.

AGP 8X cards are backwards compatible with 4X.
