I got myself a new LCD monitor yesterday and was experiencing some
problems with full-screen video/tv playback. I downloaded the latest
ForeceWare drivers (56.64) for my ti4200 and that apparantly solved the
problem. But now I have another problem. Overlay surfaces (from my tv
card or from Media Player) always display way to dark but I have always
been able to correct that by changing the "Color Correction" settings in
the NVidia control panel. But with the new drivers, I can't change them
because they are disabled/grayed out for "Overlay/VMR". I read somewhere
you need to have an overlay surface running before you could make any
adjustments, but that doesn't change anything on my system. The controls
are still disabled.
Anyone know what's going on?
PS: my old monitor was a CRT connected through the card's analog out (of
course), while the new LCD monitor is connected through the DVI output.
